IP Address 192.168.1.1 login - Configuring Wireless Internet for Windows
Here is one of the most important things you should know in setting up your wireless router with IP 192.168.1.1. Every time you connect to the Internet, a signal gets sent from the router to every PC on the network. You can't just connect to the Internet and expect everything to work right away. Each computer has to know a specific username and password to connect. If they don't, then you won't be able to access the Internet.
192.168.1.1 - What's the process to set up an IP-based login?
The process to set up an IP-based username and password is very easy. What you have to do first is to enable the wireless router and configure it.
- In the configuration, you will need to enter the IP address 192.168.1.1 of your modem (the physical device that connects to the Internet) and a domain name.
- Once you are done with your initial configuration, you have to enter the IP 192.168.1.1 of your modem into the Administration Menu option. You have to click on the IP address 192.168.1.1 or the subnet mask of your modem. After that, you will have to enter the default password for your router. Most people usually use their own names or passwords. The reason why you have to set a default password is that you are not just setting up a router with IP 192.168.1.1.
- After that, you will have to press the Router setup option. You have to follow the prompts to get through all the questions. When you are done with the router setup, you can now log in to your computer as the "Lan" user. When you have logged in as the "Lan" user, you will see a Windows logo on the desktop. - Click on the "My IPs" tab to get to your personal IP. You will then see the name of your router in the IP field. Use your default username and password and you're done!
